BIW Process Engineer

BIW Process Engineer Key Responsibilities Process Planning & Manufacturing Engineering Develop complete BIW assembly process plans for new vehicle programs. Define assembly sequences, process flow, and station allocation. Create manufacturing process sheets and operation standards. Conduct product manufacturability and process feasibility studies.

Develop process concepts for Underbody, Framing, Closure, and Final BIW Assembly lines. Define joining strategies such as Spot Welding, MIG Welding, Laser Welding, Riveting, Clinching, and Adhesive Bonding. Production System Development Prepare line layouts and equipment loading plans. Perform line balancing and manpower planning.

Estimate cycle times and validate takt-time requirements. Define production capacity and throughput requirements. Support process optimization to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
