Location/Schedule: Macon, GA / 1st shift Requirements What You’ll Do: Pipe Welder Duties: Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, isometric drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.

Perform pipe welding using GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW processes as required. Weld pipe in multiple positions, including 2G, 5G, and 6G. Prepare pipe for welding by beveling, grinding, fitting, cleaning, and aligning materials. Ensure proper root gaps, fit-up, and weld quality before and during welding.

Complete welds that meet applicable customer specifications and quality requirements. Perform visual inspections of completed welds and correct defects as necessary. Operate grinders, torches, plasma cutters, pipe beveling equipment, and other fabrication tools. Maintain weld continuity and complete required documentation.

Work closely with pipe fitters, inspectors, supervisors, and quality personnel to ensure project requirements are met. Follow established welding procedures and all safety guidelines. Other duties as assigned by Management. Pipe Fitter Duties: Reads and interprets blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine layout and requirements for piping systems.

Measures, cuts, threads, and fits pipe to required dimensions using hand tools and power tools. Performs pipe layout, alignment, and fit-up to prepare for welding and installation. Inspects materials and completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, and adherence to specifications. Uses precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Fabricates and assembles piping components, supports, and systems as required. Maintains a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures and company guidelines. Documents completed work, including welds performed, inspections, and any deviations or required follow-up actions. Communicates effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to ensure project success.

Other duties as assigned by Management.

Who You Are

Pipe Welder or Pipe Fitter experience. Must be able to read blueprints. Must pass a background check and drug screen. Must have clean MVR with a valid GA driver’s license. Excellent troubleshooting skills and good time-management skills. Technical School is a plus, but not required. Exposure to prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

May be required to handle items that weigh in excess of 50 pounds.
