Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach - Stevens High School

HEAD GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH � STEVENS HIGH SCHOOL OVERVIEW Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, will work to coordinate the Stevens High School Girls Basketball program Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School Girls Basketball program to the parents and community MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ABILITY TO: Work cooperatively with the athletic director, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS Girls Basketball Motivate and connect with our student athletes Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 9-12 Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive girls basketball program Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes KNOWLEDGE OF: High School Basketball and the complexities of the game/events Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures DESIRABLE SKILLS: Commitment to program and helping the growth of student athletes Strong work ethic coupled with great leadership Ability to provide constructive feedback to student athletes Superior organizational skills LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Red Cross First Aid certificate, including CPR training NFHS and NHIAA coaching requirements PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: At least three years of successful Middle School and/or High School or Club level experience preferred
