We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Content Strategy with deep expertise in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biopharma sectors. This client-facing role requires a versatile strategist who can develop sophisticated content plans for a variety of audiences, including patients, healthcare professionals (HCPs), investors, and employees.
You will be responsible for leading content strategy across both product marketing and corporate communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong agency background and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of healthcare regulatory guidelines while creating compelling, multi-channel content for thought leadership, websites, SEO, AI Search, and social platforms.
An ideal candidate will be passionate about telling strategic and creative stories on deadline and familiar with digital storytelling across earned, owned and paid media. The ideal candidate would have: - 7+ years of content strategy experience, with a significant portion spent at a marketing or communications agency.
- Specialized expertise in the healthcare sector, particularly with pharmaceutical and biopharma clients.
- Demonstrated experience creating targeted content strategies for diverse audiences, including patients, HCPs, investors, and the scientific community.
- A strong understanding of healthcare regulatory best practices and the nuances of both product and corporate communications in a regulated environment.
- Proven experience integrating SEO, AI Search, and social media strategies into broader content plans.
- A flexible and adaptable skill set, with a portfolio showcasing work across thought leadership, digital content, and multi-channel campaigns.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills. What you’ll do:
- Develop and oversee comprehensive content strategies for key healthcare accounts, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the creation of editorial calendars and content plans designed to engage a variety of target audiences across multiple platforms.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare content, providing strategic counsel to both clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, impactful content, from long-form thought leadership to social media posts.
- Ensure all content is optimized for discoverability through modern SEO and AI Search best practices.
- Stay ahead of trends in healthcare communications and bring innovative content solutions to the team. Salary Range: $100,000 USD – $130,000 USD Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications. $130,000.00 - $130,000.00 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
