• UT Medical Campus, Knoxville, TN UT Internal Medicine is seeking enthusiastic and qualified applicants for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or CCMA) to join our patient-centered primary care team. Daily responsibilities include: Assisting providers with patient care Rooming patients and obtaining vitals Performing point-of-care testing Assisting with minor procedures Coordinating scheduling and prior authorizations Obtaining pre-certifications for MRIs and CTs Communicating test results Building strong, professional relationships with physicians, teammates, patients, and families Requirements Strong communication and time-management skills Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Medical Assisting Certification preferred Prior clinical experience 6 months prior medical office experience
