Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Adelphi is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to students at a school in Frederick County, Maryland. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide therapy services in accordance with established guidelines, school procedures, and standards of practice. Job Quick Facts:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current Maryland State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge and use of various assessment materials.
• Understanding of professional ethics and behaviors.
• Capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable. accommodations, and meeting all timelines and requirements of speech-language pathologist. Preferred:
• Experience working with students, ages 3-21, with speech and language impairments.
• Minimum three-year work history as a speech-language pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Travel between multiple assigned schools or locations to provide services throughout the school week.
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication needs.
• Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students.
• Provide individual and group therapy to address speech, language, articulation, fluency, and communication disorders.
• Prepare evaluation reports, treatment documentation, and student progress reports.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other service providers.
• Manage assigned student caseloads and ensure timely completion of required documentation.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed.
• Provide services in person in accordance with district policies and professional standards.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
