Job description

Position: Data Analytics Associate (Temp) Location: Teaneck, NJ Hire will be through 3 rd party agency Hanwha Vision America (HVA), formerly known as Hanwha Techwin America (HTA), is an affiliate of the Hanwha Group, a Fortune Global 500 company. HVA is an industry-leading provider of advanced network video surveillance products, including IP cameras, storage devices, and video management systems founded on world-class technologies.

We offer end-to-end security solutions and have achieved global success across various industry verticals, including retail, transportation, education, banking, healthcare, hospitality, and airports. The Data Analytics Associate owns Hanwha Vision America's channel credit operations and day-to-day sell-out reporting. The core of this role is reviewing distributor claim files (Ship & Debit, promotions, rebates) in Excel, validating claimed amounts against approved price agreements, communicating results and follow-ups to our distribution partners in English, and working with Accounting (AR) to issue the corresponding credits.

The role also serves as a go-to analyst for the sales organization — fielding ad-hoc sell-out questions from RSMs and sales leadership and turning them into clear, accurate answers. This is a detail-driven operations and analysis role: we value accuracy, reliability, organized documentation, and clear communication. Training on our specific claim processes and templates is provided.

Key Responsibilities

Claim review — Review monthly Ship & Debit (S&D), promotion, and rebate claim files submitted by distributors; validate claimed items, quantities, and amounts against approved price agreements and quotes in Excel. Validation & documentation — Identify discrepancies and over/under-claims, document approval and denial reasons line by line, and prepare clean review summaries for manager approval.

Distributor communication — Communicate claim results to distributor counterparts in professional written English; explain denial reasons, request missing documentation or evidence, and follow up until each case is closed. Credit processing (AR) — Coordinate with the Accounting team (AR) to process approved credit memos and debit memos; track issued credits and reconcile open balances each month.

Records & trackers — Maintain organized monthly claim folders and trackers (raw vs. reviewed), keeping every review traceable and audit-ready. Recurring sales reports — Prepare recurring channel reports such as the monthly STEP sales report (partner-level sell-out summaries with pivot tables), following established templates.

Inventory analysis — Track distributor inventory levels and support monthly inventory analysis (stock levels, weeks of supply, aging) using provided data and templates. Ad-hoc sell-out analysis — Work directly with RSMs, BDMs, and sales leadership in English to scope ad-hoc sell-out questions (dealer, product, region, period), pull the right data cuts, and deliver clean Excel summaries with a short written takeaway — owning the request end-to-end from clarification to delivery.

Team support — Support the team with monthly sales data housekeeping and presentation materials as needed. Required Qualifications Experience — Approximately 2 years in sales operations, sales analysis, claims/billing/AR, order management, or channel (distributor) support. Excel — Working knowledge of Excel — comfortable with sorting/filtering, basic formulas (SUM, IF, VLOOKUP), and pivot tables.

Advanced techniques are not required; we will train you on our templates and process. Language Requirements — Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Korean proficiency is preferred, but not required. English is used daily with distributors, the sales team, and AR. Detail-oriented — Strong attention to detail with numbers; you notice when a line doesn't add up and you check it.

Follow-through — Organized and dependable follow-through — able to track many small open items to completion without reminders. Communication — Professional, courteous written communication style suitable for external partners.

Education

— Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience in the security, electronics, or technology distribution channel. Exposure to an ERP system (e.g., SAP) or CRM (e.g., Salesforce) — helpful but not required. Experience supporting a field sales team with data requests and reporting.

Physical Demands: Sitting/Travel: The role requires extended periods of sitting, including time spent traveling by car or plane, attending meetings, and working on a laptop or mobile devices while in offices, client locations, or remote settings. The position also involves periods of standing and walking during client visits and events.
