Job description

Machine Operator 2nd Shift- 3:30PM-1AM & Friday 11AM-3PM General Job Responsibilities: Load material and operate machines and auxiliary equipment used in the production of various products Read and understand verbal and written workorders to determine process specifications. Adjust manual controls or enter commands in computerized control panel to run appropriate programs.

Monitor machine instruments, switches, and recorders and listen for warning signals during operation to ensure conformance to specifications, and modify or aborts process as required. Maintain manual or computerized processing records. Ensure that all products are produced to the highest quality standards Perform routine maintenance/ safety checks on machines Follow safety requirements Perform 5S Requirements for work area Attendance is critical in all positions; be on time to work daily Be dependable, reliable, and a positive team-player Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisor Work in a team environment Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and guidelines Follow procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable, including obtaining necessary certifications Assist with other duties as assigned Requirements: Forklift experience preferred Prefer machine shop skills and general computer familiarity Ability to work in a heated environment Ability to stand for extended periods of time and climb steps, in an area with limited climate control Ability to lift/carry/push/pull heavy materials safely, up to 50 lbs independently, using team lift when necessary for heavier materials over 50 lbs.
