LYND Management Group, LLC is assisting The Sunset Terrace with recruiting for this independent contractor opportunity. This is not a position of employment with LYND Management Group, LLC. THE SUNSET TERRACE | SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS The Sunset Terrace seeks an entrepreneurial, sales-driven, well-connected San Antonio professional to help grow one of the city’s most distinctive rooftop event venues.

This is not a traditional 9-to-5 or salaried position. This is a freelance/independent contractor opportunity with commission-based compensation, designed for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, generating business, and helping bring exceptional events to life. We are especially interested in someone who is local to San Antonio, deeply familiar with the city, and already connected within the local business, hospitality, events, and social community .

The Opportunity You will work directly with Catalina Lynd, Owner & Creative Director, bringing together her background in events, hospitality, creative concepts, and brand building from Miami and South Florida with your knowledge, relationships, and connections in the San Antonio market. The vision is to create a strong local partnership focused on bringing fresh ideas to the city, generating new business, and establishing The Sunset Terrace as a distinctive destination for corporate events, private celebrations, social events, brand activations, wellness experiences, and special events.

We are looking for someone who wants to help build and grow something — not simply wait for inquiries to come in.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new leads and actively pursue event business. Build relationships with local companies, event planners, hotels, nonprofits, organizations, luxury brands, and hospitality partners. Develop corporate, private, and social event opportunities. Respond to inquiries and conduct venue tours. Prepare proposals, follow up with prospective clients, and help convert leads into bookings.

Maintain professional client communication from initial inquiry through event follow-up. Help develop creative event concepts and revenue-generating experiences. Assist with local marketing initiatives, networking, partnerships, and community outreach. Coordinate with trusted vendors and event professionals as needed.

Help develop attractive event packages and additional revenue opportunities. Support event coordination and venue operations when needed. Maintain an organized pipeline of leads, tours, proposals, follow-ups, and confirmed events. Meet regularly with ownership to review opportunities, priorities, upcoming events, and results.

THIS IS ALSO A SALES ROLE The right person must be comfortable actively pursuing business — not simply waiting for inquiries. We want someone who naturally thinks: Who should we contact? What companies should know about The Sunset Terrace? What partnerships can we create? What experiences can we bring to life? How can we turn relationships and ideas into profitable events?

Our goal is to offer clients more than a beautiful venue and to create multiple opportunities for revenue through: VENUE + PLANNING + CATERING + BAR + DÉCOR + ENTERTAINMENT + RENTALS + PHOTOGRAPHY + PARTNERSHIPS + EXPERIENCES The Ideal Candidate Relevant experience may include: Event or venue sales Event or wedding planning Hospitality or hotel events Corporate events Catering or event sales Luxury hospitality Business development Marketing, partnerships, or relationship-based sales We are especially interested in someone who is: Based in San Antonio with strong local knowledge and relationships Well-connected within the San Antonio business, hospitality, events, or social community Entrepreneurial and proactive Confident in sales and business development A natural networker and relationship builder Creative and resourceful Highly organized, dependable, and responsive Professional and polished when representing the venue Comfortable working independently Financially minded and aware of profitability Comfortable using technology, social media, and AI tools to support communication, marketing, sales, and organization Excited about helping build and grow a business Established San Antonio roots and an existing local network are strongly preferred.

& Opportunity This is a freelance/independent contractor opportunity with commission-based compensation. The commission structure and additional compensation opportunities will be discussed during the interview process and may vary depending on the source and type of business generated.
