ABOUT THE ROLE
To continue advancing the impact we have across the communities we serve, Commonpoint is hiring an Activities Coordinator situated within the Pool Club. Across the agency, our seasonal and part-time staff play a crucial role in driving our initiatives forward by supporting daily operations, program delivery, and organizational goals.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Agency Expectations: Support agency initiatives by carrying out assigned duties accurately and efficiently, while following established processes and contributing to basic data collection, reporting, or documentation as required. Use agency resources responsibly by following established procedures, safeguarding equipment and materials, and/or supporting cost-effective operations.
Work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and cross-department teams to ensure clear communication, timely task completion, and a positive, respectful work environment. Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for staff, partners, and the public, and promptly report concerns or incidents.
Role Expectations: Helping to create and plan activities for pool members of all ages. Facilitation and clean up of all activities, including activities that are held in the pool. Maintaining an inventory of all art and sports equipment. Taking photos and video around the facility to promote current and future programs and activities.
Using the photos and videos taken to create social media content. Interacting with all members and guests while creating lasting relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
& KEY ATTRIBUTES: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 16 years of age (or 18, depending on operational policy) Experience working with children, families, or in recreation/programming settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills ; able to engage comfortably with members of all ages. Ability to lead, facilitate, and manage group activities in a safe and organized manner.
Energetic, outgoing personality with a customer service–focused mindset. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Comfortable working in and around water (pool-based activities). Basic understanding of safety protocols and willingness to enforce rules when needed. Experience or interest in social media content creation (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
preferred. Ability to take quality photos/videos and assist with basic content creation. Strong organizational skills ; able to track and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Willingness to set up and clean up activities daily. Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism. Ability to work a flexible schedule , including weekends and holidays during the pool season.

WORKING CONDITIONS & JOB DETAILS Consider the following: Work is primarily performed in an outdoor pool environment , with exposure to sun, heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions. Requires ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods of time. Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 20 pounds.
Must be comfortable working in and around water , including participating in or facilitating pool-based activities (if applicable). Required to attend mandatory trainings, meetings, and in-service sessions prior to and during the season. Ability to work a flexible schedule , including weekends and holidays during the pool season.
