Risk Management Specialist (Internal Compliance)

Bachelor's degree. One year of experience in risk management, insurance or related field is required. Additional experience in risk management, insurance or related field may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Miami-Dade County is seeking a Risk Management Specialist in the Property and Casualty Unit of the Internal Compliance Department. This position performs professional risk management work involving the review and administration of insurance requirements for County contracts, agreements, leases, permits, professional service agreements, construction contracts, and related documents.

Responsibilities include

reviewing insurance and indemnification requirements, monitoring contractor insurance compliance, administering property and casualty insurance programs, and providing guidance and training to County departments. The role entails analyzing and interpreting contractual and insurance documents, manage multiple assignments, prepare written correspondence, and work with internal and external stakeholders.
