Reporting

• Report to the Desk Head and escalate risk events immediately to the Desk Head in person or via email within 24 hours.

Key responsibilities

• Promote FIS as a company, providing market intelligence and analysis to clients
• Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regular contact and tracking daily trading activities;
• Generate revenue and develop and enhance client base;
• Understand the team’s business strategy and identify new business opportunities relating to shipping trends;
• Responsible for daily price discovery, dissemination and matching;
• Identify and introduce new clients to the market and maintain professional relationships;
• Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require Risk related responsibilities
• Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with FIS company policies
• Ensure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activities Training
• Seek regular feedback from Desk Head to ensure role requirements are met
• Complete any mandatory training required by the company and required deadlines
• Maintain own Continued Professional Development (CPD) Requirements
• Possess sound knowledge of Shipping , Freight and Commodity markets, as well as wider markets and current affairs;
• Strong client focus; personable and engaging building relationships and networks wherever possible
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
