Field Installation Technician

SKILLBRIDGE to FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY NATIONWIDE Opportunity- Must live near a Major Airport ***Travel ~75%, most weekends home- START ASAP! Travel to manufacturing plants around the country installing and servicing safety systems on press brakes and other metalworking machines. It’s real hands-on trade work — half electrical (wiring safety controllers, multimeter diagnostics, reading schematics), half mechanical (drilling, tapping, mounting brackets). Trips typically run Monday–Thursday or Friday with most weekends home, in 3–4 week stretches followed by a full week off; between trips you’ll build interface kits and prep upcoming jobs. You’ll train side-by-side with our senior technicians and won’t run jobs solo until you and the team both feel you’re ready — and there’s a deep backlog of booked work waiting.

• Install Lazer Safe camera-based safety systems — brackets, wiring, controller setup, calibration, testing
• Install machine guarding — rear guards, perimeter fencing, scissor gates, interlocks
• Train operators after each install and handle service and recertification visits
• Troubleshoot on-site with senior techs a phone call away
• You’re handy — comfortable with drills, taps, and metal; you can read a wiring diagram and work a multimeter
• You like a puzzle — every machine is different, and installs rarely go exactly to plan. Curiosity and stick-with-it matter here.
• You’re dependable working solo — after ramp-up, you’re the face of the company on site
• Veterans and military technical backgrounds are a great fit — and strongly encouraged
• No degree needed. Aptitude and work ethic are what count.
• $60,000–$65,000 base salary
• Per diem daily — what you don’t spend, you keep
• Year-end bonus (typically $5–10K)
• 401(k) with 4% company match
• Travel on the company card — $0 out of pocket
• Target all-in comp: $85–90K/year
