• The Cashier at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently processing transactions. As part of a not-for-profit charitable organization, the Cashier plays a key role in supporting the mission of Goodwill by ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers and contributing to the overall success of the store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment.
• Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash, credit, and debit card payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that it is always ready for customer use.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and replenish merchandise displays to ensure products are well-stocked and attractively presented.
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including securing the cash register and balancing the cash drawer.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and support Goodwill's mission of providing job training and employment opportunities to those in need.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security measures, to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience:
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred.
• Experience handling cash transactions and operating a cash register is advantageous.
