Job Summary
The Depositary Manager is responsible for overseeing the funds' domicile control and oversight program, managing client interactions, and ensuring the completeness of the operating model. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in board and regulatory interactions, and the ability to lead the relationship with regulators in the domicile.
The role performs a broad range of client engagement, onboarding of new funds, offboarding and fund control and oversight tasks including escalation management.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the oversight program for funds in the domicile, ensuring compliance with local depositary regulatory regimes. Ensure an appropriate and robust control and oversight framework for the funds. Carry out all assigned tasks and duties in line with the relevant Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and J.P. Morgan’s internal policies Manage client responsibilities and interactions, ensuring the completeness and effectiveness of the operating model in place.
Collaborate with the Country Depositary Manager (DM) to maintain and enhance the relationship with regulators in the domicile. Maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients. Proactively escalate issues, delays, and key risks to the Head of Depositary Services Germany. Provide regular data inputs for reporting and statistical metrics.
Outsourcing Governance and Oversight as well as Delegate Management Participate in regular Governance meetings and other Forums. Drive process improvements, and provide support for process and technology initiatives; leverage internal AI tools to improve efficiency and quality in BAU delivery Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Experience in Depositary Services or a related financial sector.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulatory environment. Good analytical skills and the ability to support compliance efforts. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Eagerness to learn and develop within the depositary field. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret and apply financial regulations.
