Cook - Childrens Services

We’re seeking a positive, friendly, team-oriented and customer service driven Cook to assemble, prepare, and portion food for people supported and staff.

With our Cook position we offer training and growth opportunities. Some of the daily tasks that the Cook will encounter include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible for daily meals for individuals supported, employees, and guests/visitors Follows standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare, store and use food Measures, weights, counts and divides out hot foods by delivery site Cooks hot items for contract meals Participate in meal preparation for special events and group functions Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, steamer, food grinders, and more Provides excellent customer service Base Wage: Starts at $18.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum high school diploma/GED is required. Educational food production courses are preferred. Two years of experience in large scale cooking operation is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Serve. Safe certification is preferred. All positions require a clear background check and drug screen upon conditional offer.
