Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position combines Community Care Specialist and Office Specialist responsibilities. The employee connects students and families with resources and provides clerical and administrative support across district programs. COMMUNITY CARE RESPONSIBILITIES Engage with students and families to help them navigate school and community systems.

Respond to Community Care referrals and connect families with appropriate district, community, and government resources. Assist with coordinating and following up on educational and social services for students and families, under the supervisor's direction. Support Community Care Resource Center activities and efforts to provide food and other basic-needs resources.

Communicate with families and community partners, including in Spanish when applicable. OFFICE SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule meetings with families, including IEP meetings, at the direction of responsible staff. Prepare and process correspondence, forms, and other documents; maintain accurate records. Assist with requisitions, purchase order paperwork, and other routine business processes.

Provide clerical and administrative support for district programs, including preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and assisting with events as assigned. Handle student, family, and personnel information with appropriate confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience supporting students and families and performing clerical work preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, use office technology, maintain accurate records, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively with families, staff, and community partners. Preference will be given to applicants fluent in English and Spanish.

LOCATION: District-wide REPORTS TO: Superintendent TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Eight (8) hours per day, 205 days per year. The position combines Community Care Specialist and Office Specialist responsibilities, each comprising approximately half of the role. SALARY: As provided in the collective bargaining agreement with OSEA.

The hourly rate will be an equal blend of the employee's placement on the Community Care Specialist schedule (Range S) and the Office Specialist schedule (Range H). Under the 2026�27 salary schedule, the blended rate will be approximately $22.56�$28.23 per hour , depending on step placement in each range.
