Assistant Professor of Business Analytics

Position Description The College of Business at Valparaiso University invites applications for the tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business Analytics position beginning August 2027. The primary teaching focus is our required undergraduate business statistics course. Candidates will also have the opportunity to teach other analytics courses related to their area of expertise, which could include undergraduate or graduate-level courses such as advanced business statistics, machine learning, analytic modeling, database management, or visual effects.

This tenure-track position involves teaching six courses per year (a 3-3 load), maintaining an active program of research and scholarship, and contributing to university service. We strongly prefer prior teaching experience demonstrating effectiveness in both in-person and online settings. Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in business analytics or a related discipline. ABD candidates will be considered if they expect to complete their degree prior to the start date. Candidates with relevant graduate degrees and significant teaching and/or professional experience in business analytics may also be considered. This position is scheduled to start in August 2027.
