Compliance Officer

Summary The Compliance Officer serves as a pivotal figure in safeguarding the organization's operations across all jurisdictions of presence. This role is dedicated to securing and managing necessary regulatory licenses while ensuring strict adherence to financial regulations, e-commerce standards, and data protection mandates.

The position involves the strategic deployment of anti-fraud protocols, AML/CFT frameworks, and robust cybersecurity defenses. Key duties include continuously monitoring risk profiles, detecting fraudulent activities, and maintaining the integrity of trust scoring systems. Furthermore, the incumbent will manage regulatory reporting, serve as the primary liaison with government bodies, and lead internal audit initiatives alongside comprehensive staff training programs.

A critical component of this role is overseeing the governance of artificial intelligence, ensuring ethical deployment, and mitigating bias within Vergold's AI products and underlying models. The successful candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities, deep legal knowledge, and a proven track record within the Fin.

Responsibilities

Secure and maintain all necessary operational licenses in active markets while ensuring full alignment with local and international regulations. Design and execute strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, including the detection and prevention of fraudulent transactions. Uphold strict data privacy standards and implement advanced cybersecurity measures to protect organizational assets.

Direct the ethical oversight of AI technologies, ensuring responsible usage and the effective mitigation of algorithmic bias in Vergold's solutions. Conduct regular internal assessments to verify adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, followed by necessary staff training. Prepare and submit mandatory regulatory reports and maintain productive relationships with relevant government agencies and oversight bodies.
