This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career in the commercial foodservice equipment industry. This position will focus exclusively on hot-side equipment, including ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, and warmers. The apprentice will learn preventative maintenance procedures, equipment inspections, basic troubleshooting, and service techniques while working alongside experienced technicians.

Technicians will be responsible for independently commuting to an assigned customer location within the local service area to perform scheduled preventative maintenance. This position is best suited for candidates located within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned worksite.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with preventative maintenance on commercial cooking equipment, including ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, and warmers Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment, inspecting components, checking gas pressure, and verifying proper equipment operation Identify and report signs of equipment wear, damage, or potential system failures Support basic troubleshooting and minor repairs under the guidance of experienced technicians Learn to inspect mechanical and electrical components and understand equipment operation Accurately document service calls, maintenance performed, parts used, and labor hours in the company system Maintain organized tools and equipment and ensure proper care of company-provided resources Commute independently to the assigned customer location each workday Deliver professional and courteous customer service while onsite Follow all safety regulations and company policies Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities Gradually assume greater responsibility as skills and experience develop Qualifications 0–2 years of related mechanical, HVAC, appliance repair, automotive, or foodservice equipment experience preferred Trade school or technical training is a plus Valid driver's license required Reliable personal transportation required, as technicians are responsible for getting themselves to and from the assigned work location each workday Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems preferred Strong interest in learning a skilled trade and developing technical abilities Dependable and punctual, with a strong commitment to consistent attendance Strong work ethic and ability to work independently once trained Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
