About the Role

The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing all warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely processing of goods. This position is responsible for managing the entire supply chain flow within the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.

The Warehouse Manager will lead a team to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. They will coordinate with international shipping partners and internal departments to streamline distribution center activities and meet customer demands.

Ultimately, the role ensures that warehouse operations support the broader manufacturing supply chain goals, contributing to overall business success.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.

Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including international shipping regulations. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP). Experience working in a manufacturing industry warehouse or distribution center. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement. Knowledge of advanced inventory forecasting and demand planning techniques. Experience with ERP systems integration related to warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Manage daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management to meet production and distribution schedules. Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff to maintain high performance and adherence to safety protocols. Implement and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to optimize inventory control and workflow efficiency.

Coordinate international shipping logistics and compliance with customs regulations to facilitate smooth cross-border distribution. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports to identify areas for operational improvement and cost reduction. Collaborate with supply chain, production, and distribution teams to align warehouse activities with overall business objectives.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse environment. Skills: The required skills such as warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and inventory control are applied daily to ensure smooth and accurate movement of goods within the warehouse. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) enables the Warehouse Manager to track inventory levels, manage order picking, and optimize storage space effectively.

Skills in international shipping are essential for coordinating cross-border logistics and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Leadership and team management skills are used to motivate staff, enforce safety standards, and maintain high productivity.
