Welder (5+ years' experience)

General Expectations and Responsibilities Follow ADF safety procedures and practices. Proficiently read and interpret blueprints as needed. Proficient in reading welding symbols. Weld in the flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions. Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools. Proficient in the use and set up of oxyfuel and plasma cutters.

Knowledge of heat distortion and prevention. Utilize Carbon Arc Cutting/Gouging processes to remove material. Understand types of welding discontinuities, prevention, and repair. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to operate on strict deadlines. Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of shift.

Strong communication skills. Any other related duties and special projects as needed.
