- Engineering Solar Lead Design Engineer (Ground mount Solar) Position Overview: An experienced Engineering Solar Lead Design Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the design and development of our solar power projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a focus on solar energy systems and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the engineering design process for solar power projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to develop innovative solutions and optimize project efficiency.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations and design parameters for ground mount solar installations. Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and drawings using CAD software. Perform engineering calculations and simulations to analyse system performance and optimize design parameters.
Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality control. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on solar energy systems. Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and managing complex projects. Proficiency in CAD software, PVsyst and engineering simulation tools.
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with knowledge of photovoltaic technology and solar power generation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
