Equipment Operator/Driver

About the Role

The Career Logistics & Services role plays a critical role in receiving, storing, and shipping materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

1 year of related experience. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred Experience driving a flatbed is preferred Experience with city driving is a plus Satisfactory driving record Ability to lift 75 lbs. Experience operating a forklift and small hand tools Ability to follow all company safety rules, procedures, and applicable governmental regulations Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and ship materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures
• Pull, package, stage and load outgoing shipments
• Unload, unpack and inspect incoming shipments and locate in designated area
• Safely operate appropriate equipment for movement of materials
• Ensure the efficiency of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment
• Complete shipping and receiving documentation and records
• Ensure accurate identification of parts and materials
• Maintain an inventory of product, inspects, cleans, and tests for wear or defects, and repairs as needed
• May paint and or stencil product for identification and marketing
• Conduct testing and repair of various equipment
• Delivers and sets-up product per work order
• Loads, secures, and unloads cargo
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
• Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations
• May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
