DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL Direct Support Professional (DSP) Wake Enterprises Position Summary Wake Enterprises is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, and participate fully in their communities while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

Essential Responsibilities Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities. Support individuals in developing independent living, social, and community integration skills. Assist with personal care as needed, including hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Encourage participation in recreational, educational, vocational, and community activities.

Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports. Monitor individual health, safety, and behavioral needs and report concerns promptly. Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as required. Promote dignity, choice, and person-centered support at all times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass required background checks and screenings. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
