Receiving Specialist

• CARTERSVILLE, GA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00Hourly, Summary The Receiving Specialists is responsible for unloading, inspecting and tracking goods that are received into the manufacturing plant.

Job Responsibilities

and Duties Inspect orders that are received to ensure proper quantities and quality of the products. Tag products based on the department they are purchased for. Compare purchase orders with packing lists. Sign for deliveries after verifying that all product has been received. Maintain records of orders received. Prepare received stock for inventory. Update inventory records.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications Highschool school education or equivalent experience. 2+ years within a shipping or inventory role within an manufacturing environment. Ability to work with little supervision. Basic math skills required. Basic computer skills. Data Entry. Ability to effectively communicate with others when needed.

Adequate organization skills. Ability to learn and closely adhere to set procedures. Work Environment This job operates in a professional manufacturing plant environment. You may be exposed to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility. Proper PPE is provided if required and must be utilized. If it is not needed, the right PPE gear is available should you want to use it. Physical Demands An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

The employee is occasionally required to remain stationary for extended periods; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
