Patient Care Asst.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Patient Care Assistant will assist in patient care duties.# Direct patient care is done under the direction of a Registered Nurse and within the scope of sound professional nursing practice to be delegated.# The PCA will also perform other assigned duties for which they have been specifically trained for.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent.# BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire or transferred to department. Training # Experience: #Must have knowledge of some# medical and technical# terminology# and be# familiar with# hospital policies and procedures.## Computer# Training will be# completed as part of orientation.
