What does a Senior Project Manager do at WPP Production?
Senior Project Managers own the end-to-end project management of projects. They are responsible for intake, delivering a completed project on time and to specification. Senior Project Managers must demonstrate a good understanding of project management tools and best-practice methodology, and the flexibility to lead a diverse and dynamic team to deliver balanced integrated solutions. The Senior Project Manager is everyone's point person for requests they are assigned to. Team members rely on them for everything they need to know about a project: what to expect, what to do next, and to find out where they need to be. Senior Project Managers relay information about the timing, scope, budgets, resources, and changes to the project plan. This role will interact directly with the teams across the South Region (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay), working on projects with this team during the schedule of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The successful candidate will use their superior problem-solving skills, possess a strategic mindset, and always strive for continuous improvement. They will have a strong passion for digital marketing and creative development.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Communication
- Serve as the key day-to-day project contact for a variety of stakeholders, both internal and client-side.
- Possess experience in understanding client satisfaction levels; facilitate the sharing of client feedback with the team and management; remain sensitive to client needs and understand the objectives of the assigned campaigns.
- Take accountability to ensure that all team members are fully aware of timelines and deliverables.
- Communicate with teams across the South Region (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay), as well as internal and external clients, to coordinate work across multiple disciplines and meet team needs.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with the operations team in the South Region and with internal and external stakeholders to establish and manage clear frameworks and deadlines for requests.
- Lead partnerships with client services, project management, production, and channel leads to ensure a smooth process, proper resource allocation, and a superior end result.
- Foster personal accountability among team members for deliverables and projects, driving active engagement in all assignments toward progress, action, and results.
- Develop and maintain high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, and engagement).
- Independently manage a portfolio of medium- to large-sized projects from initiation through completion.
- Serve as an expert in integrated marketing campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of project management techniques and introduce process innovation in how engagements are managed.
- Manage client objectives, expectations, deliverables, and timelines, effectively communicating changes and direction to team members.

- Influence the efficiency and quality of work by championing and guiding stakeholders toward improved ways of working.
Task and Resource Management
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams of creative technologists to define and develop project scopes and estimates (goals, deliverables, schedules), helping translate creative concepts into actionable deliverables with proper staffing.
- Own project tracking of all ongoing costs (where applicable) throughout the project lifecycle, reconcile estimates against actuals across all projects, and resolve budget discrepancies among disciplines, vendors, and clients.
Risk Management
- Focus on delivering high-quality work, proactively identifying potential barriers and working to remove them; escalate larger issues to senior management when appropriate.
Daily Tasks
- Liaise with clients, agencies, and vendors to obtain schedules, briefs, assets, and technical specifications.
- Manage intake on incoming requests.
- Develop and maintain scopes, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with internal partners.

- 5+ years of project management experience in an interactive or integrated agency, or a similar environment.
- Proven experience managing workflows across creative development, content production, technology, QA testing, and marketing methodologies.
- Professional and approachable demeanor, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, delivering on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems with balanced solutions that satisfy all stakeholders without compromising the quality of deliverables or the project.
- High level of accountability, composed presence, and self-confidence.
