• Oakland, MD, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $17.37 - $17.37Hourly, Job Category: Other, Job Summary: Provide compassionate, individualized support and care to residents with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Facilitate daily living activities, personal development, and social integration in a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

1. Daily Living Supports:

• Help individuals develop and maintain skills for daily living, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care.
• Support individuals in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, communication, and hygiene.

1. Skill Development and Advocacy:

• Accompany participants on group outings to promote community integration.
• Provide transportation, if applicable, ensuring safety during trips.

1. Documentation:

• Record daily activities, progress, and incidents according to organizational and regulatory standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of participants’ personal information.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Communicate regularly with program staff, case managers, and families.
• Participate in training, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow individualized care plans and document activities accurately.
• Dependability and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Certifications (as applicable):
• First Aid and CPR certification (obtainable upon hire)
• Valid Driver’s license
• Must stay in compliance with all DDA, BON, and agency training.
