Concrete Laborer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist carpenters and finishers with concrete construction activities. Prepare jobsites prior to concrete placement. Move and organize forming materials, lumber, reinforcing steel, tools, and equipment. Assist with setting and stripping concrete forms. Place and tie reinforcing steel and welded wire reinforcement as directed.

Assist during concrete pours with chute handling, raking, shoveling, vibrating, and placement. Perform concrete demolition and cleanup when necessary. Install curing materials and perform concrete protection activities. Clean tools, forms, equipment, and work areas. Operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, saws, and other equipment after proper training.

Load and unload construction materials. Follow instructions provided by foremen and supervisors. Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE. Perform other construction duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous construction or concrete experience preferred but not required. Willingness to learn concrete construction methods and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday. Willingness to work overtime when project schedules require it.

Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and carry 50-75 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Ability to work safely around construction equipment and active concrete operations.
