This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded individual who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and taking pride in keeping the facility safe and operating properly. The position follows a unique seven days on, seven days off schedule, providing seven consecutive days away from work during every two-week rotation. Our Maintenance Department plays an important role in the care we provide. You'll help ensure our residents and staff have a safe, comfortable, reliable, and well-maintained environment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Qualifications

High School or GED. Reading, comprehension and writing ability at 12th grade level. Post secondary training in related field preferred. Valid NYS Driver’s license, commercial license Class C or higher with passenger endorsement license required. Experience with and ability to safely operate power tools and equipment including but not limited to saws, drills, sanders, lawn care and snow removal equipment, etc.

Knowledge of or willingness and aptitude to learn about proper care and maintenance of lawns, trees, scrubs and other plants. Experience with drywall repair and painting. Experience or interest in working with older adults. Neat appearance, good personal hygiene.
