Unarmed Security Guard, Patrol

Windwalker Group is looking to add to their Patrol team in the Springfield, MA area. This is a 24-7 operation; we are hiring both full-time and part-time officers. Pay: $20 an hour An active, clean drivers license is a requirement to be considered for this position. Windwalker Security Guards will provide a variety of services, which may include, but is not limited to the following tasks: Conduct routine and proactive foot and mobile patrols throughout assigned properties to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Monitor buildings, grounds, and surrounding areas to identify suspicious activity, security vulnerabilities, and potential safety concerns. Maintain a highly visible and professional security presence while engaging with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other members of the community. Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, disturbances, and requests for assistance.

Enforce established security protocols, access control procedures, and property regulations while maintaining professionalism and sound judgment. Identify, document, and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, and policy violations through accurate and timely incident reporting. Maintain effective communication and coordination with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including campus-affiliated public safety partners.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required Clean Driver's License Must be at least 18 years old Ability to pass a background check Ability to react quickly to a changing environment Advanced ability to respond to security breaches and threats. Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time Ability to inform personnel and visitors of security procedures Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills Possess an ability to be flexible and perform a variety of security duties PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role preferred Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment preferred CPR, First Aid, AED, NARCAN, MOAB , or ACT I, II, or III Certifications highly preferred Associates degree or greater in Criminal Justice related studies Experience in documenting, observations, customer service and security procedures Previous concierge experience About Windwalker Group: Windwalker Group is an award-winning, Minority-Owned business with over 25 years of experience delivering innovative solutions to help organizations grow, thrive, and achieve lasting success.
