More about our team Must be able to meet a 30-minute Call Time Our Endoscopy unit provides care for a wide range of procedures, including: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Bronchoscopy GI bleed procedures The unit typically operates 1–2 procedure rooms several days per week out of the Operating Rooms, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure high-quality, focused patient care. How you will contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. What we are looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate’s degree in nursing required. Additional requirements include: Bachelor’s degree preferred American Heart Association Basic Life Support American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire Experience in acute care hospital, preferred Previous experience preferred More about Sovah Danville Sovah Health
