CNC Setup Machinist

Schunk Xycarb Technology, Inc. in Georgetown, Texas, is growing and looking for skilled CNC Setup Machinists to join our 1st Shift team. Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills Set and adjust work and tooling offsets Operate manual machining equipment as needed Read and understand basic G & M code Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments Perform visual inspections and ensure quality standards are met Maintain a safe and organized work area Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1-5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with Haas mills and lathes preferred Technical or vocational machining training is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and quality Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, and stoop Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to work overtime as needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Additional Requirements Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check Must be legally authorized to work in the United States About Schunk Xycarb Technology Schunk Xycarb Technology is a global leader in quartz, ceramic, silicon, and silicon carbide-coated graphite products for the semiconductor industry.
