2nd Shift Transfer Press Operator

MUST HAVE METAL STAMPING EXPERIENCE ON LARGE TONNAGE TRANSFER AND PROGRESSIVE PRESSES

• Understanding of programming and setup of Die Protection Sensor.
• Understanding of tonnage monitors.
• Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications working with die setters.
• Install nest and fingers.
• Positions work piece in nest or feeder.
• Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors including first piece.
• Cleans machines.
• Catches, packs and inspects parts.
• Operate Quality Gages.
• Perform hourly checks.
• Fill out lot tags, production reports, and die maintenance control forms.
• Reports any problems to Coordinator.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication. Tools utilized include handheld pliers, wrenches screw/drivers, die bars, etc.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
