HEAVY MOTOR EQUIPMENT OP

• HIGHWAY The Town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of HEAVY MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR for the Department of Public Works, Highway Division. Semi-skilled manual work in the operation of specialized and heavy equipment and all public works vehicles in performing construction and maintenance activities; all other related work as required. Performs preventative maintenance and labor incidental to work of operating assigned equipment. May work on a range of public works projects including road surfacing, resurfacing, and patching. May perform or assist in the performance of masonry or carpentry work associated with public works projects. Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles Class A Commercial Driver’s License with all necessary endorsements and a valid Massachusetts Department of Public Safety Hoisting Engineer’s License with Restriction 2-A and 4-E and 4G required, 4A desired.

Education and Experience

High School graduate with two years’ experience in public works construction maintenance activities including the operation of heavy equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary range: $27.6638 to $32.1549*/hour, 40 hours/week. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt.
