Job description
Location: This position can be located in one of Allied World's New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, or Chicago offices. Job Objectives: Sr. Underwriter will be responsible for growing a portfolio of general casualty business by exercising proper underwriting discipline, and by marketing and servicing both existing and potential retailers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of this position include: Perform account analysis according to Allied World (US) General Casualty guidelines Develop account pricing/ structure/ make recommendations Perform and document referrals Prepare quotes, binders, invoices, underwriting worksheets within company guidelines Maintain files in an orderly manner consistent with company guidelines Delegate and supervise work to Account Coordinators as needed Attend Client meetings, lunches, dinners, and other social outings as applicable Attend educational seminars Market to retailers within region and engage production meetings Work with Legal department for manuscript wording analysis and preparation
