Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Effective Date: 09/02/2026 Reports To: Accounting Manager FLSA: Exempt Working Conditions: Position is not routinely exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Typical office environment. Onsite business model. Direct Reports: N/A Position Summary: Works as general accountant with particular emphasis on financial reporting and providing support for any business taxation issues.

Ensures company is fully compliant with tax regulations and maintains supporting documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Compile and analyze financial data to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly and annual close schedule Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures Assist in implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures Assist and support of budget and forecast preparation in connection with FP&A team Compilation of information for preparation of Federal, State and Local tax returns Preparation of sales tax, property tax, CAT tax, annual reports, licenses and excise tax compliance and reporting Assist with quarterly and annual inventory reconciliations Management of fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers and reconciliations.

Reporting of depreciation for book and tax. Assist accounting manager with other duties as necessary. Make recommendations for process improvement for accounting processes and procedures Marginal Functions: Other duties may be assigned as needed. Job Specifications: Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting CPA designation preferred 4-6 years' experience in Tax/Accounting experience Knowledge of accepted accounting principles and practices Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes and regulations Knowledge and proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications Highly detail oriented and organized in work Ability to meet assigned deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to act and operate independently with a minimal amount of daily direction to accomplish objectives Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize performance, problem solving, creativity and results The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the duties of the position, and do not include all the tasks that the incumbent may be required to perform.
