Job description

A Familiar Voice, A Meaningful Connection Could you brighten someone's day with a friendly chat and a listening ear? An older person living in our dementia-specific cottage would benefit from the companionship of a Lebanese-speaking volunteer who can share conversation, cultural connection, and social engagement. Through regular visits, you'll have the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship, share stories, and help create moments of comfort, familiarity, and joy.

What you'll do

  • Spend time chatting and providing companionship
  • Share language, culture, and life experiences
  • Encourage social connection and engagement
  • Build a warm and trusting friendship
  • One-hour visits, weekly
  • Monday to Friday
  • Either at 10:00am or between 1:00pm and 3:00pm
  • Visits take place in a dementia-specific cottage.
