Geotechnical Engineer II

Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer II Work Location: Atlanta, GA Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports. Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.

Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D. Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed. Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies. Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines. Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred. Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.
