POSITION PROFILE: Are you passionate about the mental wellness of children and their families? Do understand the impact school-related issues can have on a students’ mental health? If your heart is to counsel youth towards improving their mental health, the Clinician I may be a perfect fit for your skill set! The Clinician I is part of our School Based Mental Health Program.
The position provides onsite counseling, education, and preventative services to children, youth, and families in partnership with San Diego Unified School District. Direct services may include mental health assessments and evaluation, individual/group/family therapy, and intensive case management to those who may not otherwise have access to such services.
This position is 100% out stationed in the community on a school campus. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and manage a full-time caseload Provide psycho-social assessment and services to youth (5-18) and families Strong skills in individual/family/group therapy needed Meet SDUSD standards for workload and documentation Maintain accurate updated case files and compile statistical data monthly Perform other tasks assigned by Program Director QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications): Master’s Degree in Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy Registered Intern with the Board of Behavioral Sciences License eligible; LCSW/MFT licensing supervision provided Consult regularly with school teams Experience in providing casework/case management services
