The Opportunity We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who is a proactive leader, strong problem solver, and mechanically minded professional. This is a key role in our manufacturing operation. You will lead and develop maintenance technicians, improve equipment reliability, and partner with Production to keep our operation running safely and efficiently.

We are hiring Maintenance Supervisors across multiple shifts to provide strong leadership, consistency, and accountability throughout our operation. The right person won't simply react to breakdowns. They will think ahead, solve problems at their root, develop their people, and drive lasting improvements. What You'll Accomplish Build an engaged, accountable, and highly capable maintenance team.

Develop technicians through coaching, training, and cross-training. Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance practices. Identify recurring equipment problems and eliminate their root causes. Help technicians make sound decisions and take ownership. Build strong working relationships with Production Supervisors, Quality, and other departments.

Create consistency and effective communication across multiple shifts. Our Maintenance Philosophy At Wyandot, we believe “if you fix it right, you only fix it once.” We expect our maintenance team to look beyond the immediate repair, understand why a failure occurred, and make the right repair or improvement so we don't continue fixing the same problem.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians on your assigned shift. Set clear expectations for safety, quality, workmanship, communication, and accountability. Establish maintenance priorities based on safety, production needs, equipment condition, and reliability. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.

Drive root-cause problem solving and permanent corrective actions. Support and improve preventive maintenance programs. Coordinate maintenance activities with Production Supervisors to minimize production disruptions. Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, correctly, and to a high standard. Ensure effective shift handoffs and communication across the maintenance team.

Promote a strong safety and food-safety culture. Utilize computerized maintenance systems and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or vocational training preferred. 3+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing or a similar industrial environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience with industrial maintenance and repair. Experience with electrical systems, controls, automation, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics preferred.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. Computer and computerized maintenance management system experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable.
