Job description

Milacron is looking for an Environmental Analyst to join our team in Batavia, Ohio . In this position, you will be responsible for leading environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, permitting activities, environmental reporting, and continuous improvement programs across North American operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.

Work You’ll Do: Manage environmental compliance programs across multiple manufacturing facilities. Coordinate and maintain environmental permits, including air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, and other applicable permits. Monitor and assess regulatory changes and their impact on company operations. Conduct environmental compliance audits and facility assessments.

Support regulatory inspections and interactions with environmental agencies. Develop and maintain environmental policies, procedures, and training programs. Lead sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, recycling, energy management, water conservation, and greenhouse gas reduction. Develop and track environmental metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support sustainability goals.

Prepare, validate, and submit required environmental reports and maintain regulatory records. Manage environmental data collection, analysis, ESG reporting activities, and environmental improvement projects across multiple locations. Coordinate environmental consultants, contractors, and service providers. Support capital projects involving environmental controls and regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Chemistry, Biology, Occupational Health, or a related field required. Job experience, professional development, and continuing education may be substituted for educational requirements. Working knowledge of EPA regulations and environmental permitting requirements.

Experience managing environmental data and reporting systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; Power BI and environmental reporting systems preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail with proven ability to multitask, prioritize, follow up, and follow through.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to temperature fluctuations, dust, and noise. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, hearing protection, and task-specific PPE. Ability to reach, grasp, handle, bend, kneel, sit, climb, stoop, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems preferred. Experience with ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability disclosures preferred. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) preferred. Associate Environmental Professional (AEP) preferred.

Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) preferred. Sustainability-related certifications preferred. Ability to travel up to 10% within North America preferred.
