Vocal Accompanist

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

DESE Substitute Teacher Certification required College-level or equivalent training in piano required Experience as a vocal accompanist preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Play the piano at an advanced level in various musical styles Possess advanced sight-reading skills Collaborate with the vocal music director in rehearsals during the school day and after school as needed Perform with school choirs, vocal ensembles, and soloists at school concerts, music festivals, and community events.

Practice independently to prepare for rehearsals and performances Know and follow safety measures during rehearsals and performances Be willing to ride district transportation and/or use a personal vehicle when traveling to and from performances Other duties as may be assigned by the vocal music director or administrative staff TERMS: Extra Duty contract; $4,513.
