Food Services Assistant

New Hope Manor in Barryville, NY is seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant to join our team to provide meals to our patients. This is not an entry-level position; experience in a kitchen/food prep setting is required. Required Shift: Wednesday 10a-2p Friday 2p-6p Sunday 10a-6p The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: *Maintaining knowledge of food and beverage preparation *Ability to prepare and serve up to 53 meals in one sitting, unsupervised *Follow DOH & USDA regulations *Keep an up-to-date inventory system for all food; perishables, non-perishables, and cookware *Provide kitchen safety guidance to the patients *Work with the patients on food safety, preparation, etc.

*Follow nutritionally balanced weekly menus, addressing the needs of vegetarians and allergies *Maintain kitchen and equipment Qualifications: *Ability to follow state, federal and DOH guidelines *Serve. Safe preferred *Ability to multi-task *Excellent communication skills, verbal and written *Have knowledge of nutritional guidelines and ability to apply knowledge to a menu for up to 53 patients New Hope Manor is a tobacco-free/vape free facility.

You must pass a drug test to be eligible for employment. Background checks are required by the agency. New Hope Manor, licensed by the NYS OASAS, offers all-female, residential substance use disorder treatment. We accept all women ages 13 and up, prioritizing those who are pregnant, and including those who would like to have their children (under 3) live with them while they are in treatment.
