Governance Officer
Job description
Do you want to help shape how risk decisions are made at some of the highest levels of a major European bank? As a Governance Officer in our Governance & Reporting PL team, you will keep decision-makers informed and well-prepared, contributing to a risk management framework that builds trust with customers and society alike.
What you will be doing: You will join a small, collaborative team that acts as the secretariat for more than ten All-Risk and Product Governance Committees and Product Decision-Desks . Working as part of Business Controls & Product Management, the first line of defense, you will build relationships across Large Corporates & Institutions, Business Customers, Personal Customers, the Finland, Norway and Sweden Branches, and seven product domains.
Your work connects daily governance tasks to Danske Bank's Forward '28 Strategy and its broader contribution to society. More specifically, you will: Plan and facilitate committee meetings, build risk-driven agendas, and document decisions accurately. Support adherence to the Group Internal Governance Policy within the first line of defense.
Contribute to an aligned risk management agenda across business segments, country branches, and product domains. Improve the integration of digital tools into how governance forums are run. Develop process enhancements that move the risk agenda forward at senior management level.
About you
At least two years of experience in risk, compliance, governance, or a related field. Degree in law, political science, economics, finance, business, or a related subject . Experience navigating decisions through delegated authorities and committee structures in a large organization. Familiarity with operational risk or Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
Strong written and spoken English, including the ability to facilitate and understand nuanced committee discussions. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams. Experience in the financial sector or another regulated industry is a distinct advantage, as is experience in a corporate secretariat role.
Fluency in a Scandinavian language and experience using AI tools to improve productivity are also welcome.
