Youth Services Aide - Streetwork - Manhattan

Streetwork Project is an innovative outreach-counseling program for homeless youth in Harlem and the Lower East Side, which utilizes a harm reduction approach. Youth Services Aides provide comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults impacted by homelessness and involved in street activities (gangs, violence, drug use/sale, and survival sex).

Services provided by Youth Services Aides include assessment, referrals, outreach, crisis transportation, daily living services (food, shower, respite), triage counseling, recreational activities, and support groups. The Youth Services Aides coordinate with Safe Horizon supporting programs and local agencies to provide short- and long-term care necessary to meet the wide range of needs related to homeless adolescents.
