Adult Education Teacher - ESL (eligibility pool for 2026-27 school year)

Requirements

/ Qualifications Applicants must have a valid credential or be eligible for a Designated Subject Adult Education Academics Subjects: English as a Secondary Language, Single Subject or Multiple Subject with an English Learners Authorization Credential. All required documents, including a copy of your credential demonstrating eligibility for the pool, must be scanned, and attached to your Ed-Join application prior to applying to the eligibility pool.

PDF format is recommended. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Copy of Transcript (unofficial will be accepted for screening purposes) Credential Copy (Must Include document number) Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Letters Required - within last 2 years) Other (copy of basic skills requirement) Resume Comments and Other Information All original documents required for employment processing MUST be submitted upon recommendation for a position.

Please note, Ed. Join eligibility pools are not true vacancies. Selected applicants may be called for an interview in the event positions become available in your area of interest. At the time of employment other documents will be required such as official transcripts. Applicants must register their credential with the San Diego County Office of Education.

For applicants currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program must have proof of completion at the time of hire.
