Job description
Your Opportunity: Challenge yourself in Corrections Health. Our close-knit clinical team is committed to collaborative, patient-centred care within one of Alberta's most unique and dynamic healthcare settings. Reporting to the Corrections Health Services Manager, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team at the Peace River Corrections Health Unit.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary, urgent, and episodic care to an adult population with complex and often concurrent physical health, mental health, addiction, and social needs. Success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, mental health professionals, allied health providers, community agencies, and correctional services staff, the NP contributes to high-quality care through clinical practice, leadership, education, consultation, quality improvement, and health system optimization.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health outcomes of a vulnerable and underserved population while practicing in a challenging, rewarding, and professionally enriching environment.
