Full Time Shifts Available: Days Hours: 8 or 10 hour options Location : St. Joseph Medical Center

• Kansas City, MO We are seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse sometimes referred to as a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse , Cardiac RN or Cath Lab RN. A Cath Lab RN is essential in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of cardiac catheterization procedures, contributing significantly to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases specifically with the cardiac catheterization lab.

Responsibilities

A ssess patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures ( Pre-Procedure Preparation ) A ssist cardiologists during procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiological studies, and other cardiac interventions ( Intra-Procedure Assistance ) M onitoring patient post-procedure for complications, provide post-procedure instructions, and ensuring patient stability before discharge or transfer to another unit O perate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the catheterization lab, such as hemodynamic monitors and other diagnostic tools Q uickly respond to any emergencies or complications that arise during procedures, such as arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, or bleeding Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.
